How Are You Getting Your Food Freedom?
What actions are you taking today to achieve your freedom?
I want to declare freedom over you and let you know that if you are in Christ you are a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come. So rise up and be the person that you were created to be.
Today I want to ask you and I want you to answer these questions in your own journal or on a piece of paper. I recommend that you have a journal. That way you can go back and find out how you’ve grown, in a week, in a month or maybe next year. It’s fun to go back and read your journal entries and see where you were before and how much you’ve grown.
My Questions For You
Take out your journal and answer the following questions.
What do you want to have freedom from?
Step One to Food Freedom
What is keeping you bound and stopping you from stepping forward into what God has for you?
- Why do you want that freedom from what you wrote above?
- How would your life be different if you had that freedom?
- What would you be able to achieve?
- What will your life look like when you achieve that freedom?
Write down your answers, and then go to step two.
Step Two to Getting Food Freedom
Next, I want you to write in a paragraph starting with a declaration over yourself.
Today I am free from ____________ and I today I will _________ to achieve that freedom.
Today I am free from whatever areas in your life and what it is you need to do to achieve that freedom.
Of course we know we are all free from condemnation and there’s no condemnation if you are in Christ, but it’s more about loosening the chains and walking forward and taking some action steps.
Your Food Freedom Statement
Your statement is going to sound something like this, this is mine.
Today I declare that I am free from food. I release my past of food addiction and from poor choices under the cross of Jesus. I release my past and turn all of my past over to Jesus Christ on the cross. Today I choose to eat only foods that are good for me, that nourish my body, and that will make me feel great; foods that will stand behind the goals that I’m making for myself. One of my goals is to look great, lose weight and feel great by the end of the month for my trip to Nashville and so I’m only going to eat foods that will help me to make that goal come true.
