My Big moment came on my birthday !!!
I had been doing the 21-Day Fix for a week or so, and being it was my birthday, my husband and I had went on a mini vacation. During that time I decided to allow myself to:

- Have the weekend off from exercising.It was my special day after all, and I was going to give myself a present of letting myself off the hook from my regular routine.I remember the night before hanging out with my sister at the campground, we had bought all kinds of food; chips, healthy chicken, hot dogs, hummus dip, and a few other goodies. My sister and I sat and talked, she wasn’t feeling good, and I had decided that I was going to eat whatever I wanted on my birthday weekend, so I was chowing down on a bag of barbecue chips, one of my favorite snacks – and YES I almost ate the entire bag!
On My Birthday Morning
On the morning of my birthday my husband and I went down to the hotel lobby and ate breakfast, and as we started to leave I saw the waffles and I said to myself, “I am going to treat myself to a waffle.”
I made the waffle, I buttered the waffle, and I added a small amount of syrup to the waffle, and I took a bite … and during that bite my life changed.
I stopped and said to myself, “Why am I considering this a gift to myself? Why am I eating foods that are killing me because of my diabetes and considering it a gift to myself?”
I tossed the waffle into the garbage and walked up to my hotel room, changed into my shorts, and pushed play on my 21 Day Fix Program, and my husband watched, and he knew there was something different about me, and this new work out I was doing.
21 Days to Create A Habit
I am not sure how much weight I lost during the 21 Day Fix. I do know that I dropped at least one pants size and lost some inches. ( I didn’t not measure.)
Mainly I realized how creating a habit of exercise is important.
- Exercise that is for myself and done with my own goals in mind, instead of my students.
Being I teach fitness I exercise a lot during the week while I am leading classes.
However this last 22 days was about ME digging deep and Me Loving myself and reaching my goals.
During the 21 Day Fix:
- I lost inches
- I got stronger
- I established an important daily habit of staring my day off with exercise.
- I felt great
My husband can see the difference !
I am ready for my second round of the 21 Day Fix which will allow me to concentrate more on what I am doing in the kitchen with my containers and track my food better.
